Chief Executive Officer
Hira Arain is a qualified veterinarian holding a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Sindh Agriculture University. She brings more than five years of professional experience in livestock development, animal health services, and rural livelihood promotion. Her technical expertise in climate-smart livestock management, women-led dairy and poultry enterprises, and field-based extension services strengthens the Facility's focus on resilient livelihoods and green economic opportunities for rural women. As Chief Executive Officer, she provides strategic leadership, institutional development, partnership building, and overall direction for the Women Economic Empowerment Facility.
Javed Hussain
Director Operations
Javed Hussain holds a Master's degree in Sociology and an MPhil in Development Studies, along with several international postgraduate courses in development management, climate change, gender equality, and social protection. With over 22 years of experience in community development, project management, climate justice, and women's economic empowerment, he has led more than 30 national and international development projects. As Director Operations, he serves as the chief operational and financial executive of the Facility, responsible for integrated management of finance, enterprise programming, training coordination, compliance, reporting, and quality assurance, ensuring effective translation of strategy into high-impact implementation.
